vBeers – Madison, WI (Wednesday, 1 May, 2013)

    vBeers Madison WI May 2013

Get warmed up for the 4th annual Wisconsin VMUG User Conference by joining us for vBeers the night before the big event.  We will be meeting up at the Falling Waters Lounge inside the Madison Marriott West which is also the venue for the next day’s User Conference (the hotel that is, not the lounge).

This vBeers event is a fun, informal gathering of IT virtualization professionals and enthusiasts for the sake of making new friends, valuable contacts and talking shop.  It’s a great way to relax and get ready for Thursday’s festivities (you know what they say about all work and no play).  While we expect a number of our User Conference sponsors and speakers to join us; this will be a low key, vendor neutral social event free of sales pitches as there’s plenty of time for that the next day.vBeers Madison USAWI-VMUG Logo

    Location: Falling Water Lounge
Address: Madison Marriott West, 1313 John Q Hammons Drive · Middleton, Wisconsin 53562
    Date: Wednesday, May 1, 2013
    Time: 5:30pm until ???

If you haven’t already registered for the WI-VMUG User Conference on May 2nd, you can do so here.  This is the premier virtualization event in Wisconsin and this year’s conference is set to be our best one yet!

vBeers – Milwaukee (Wednesday 20th of March 2013)

USA vBeersvBeers is returning to Milwaukee, the Beer Capital of the World.  Scott Herold from UmbraWorks (@vmguru) is going to be in town in preparation for his presentation at the Wisconsin VMUG meeting on Thursday, March 21st and will in the area so we decided why not put together a vBeers event.  So if you are also in the area please stop in and  join us, the more the merrier.  This is an informal event to network with other virtualization experts, share knowledge and just have some fun!

Our local F5 team will also be on hand.  They won’t be there to do a presentation or to sell you anything (unless you ask) but they will be around to buy some drinks and join in on the friendly conversation with everyone.

We hope to see you there.  Not that I don’t enjoy Scott’s company, but it will be a lot more fun with more people!  By the way, if you are interested in joining us the next day for the VMUG meeting you can find more information on that here.

I’ll be there along with Scott Herold from UmbraWorks, Chris Miller & John Tierney from F5. I’ve heard a number of people from Netech will also be joining us.

vBeers – Grafton, WI (Monday, October 22nd, 2012)

Tim Oudin (@toudin) is in the area and we are getting together for some drinks, food and conversation.  While we enjoy each other’s company we decided it would be even more enjoyable if we were joined by a bunch of our fellow VMUG members and virtualization enthusiasts.  So stop on by Monday evening to talk all things virtualization, to ask Tim about his weekend of racing at Road America or to just come on out and have a good time.  We’ll be found at Flannery’s which is a traditional Irish Pub featuring a large oak bar, cozy booths, a warm stone fire place and plenty of Guinness on draft.

    Location: Flannery’s at Fire Ridge
Address: 2241 Hwy W, Grafton, WI
    Date: Monday, October 22nd 2012
    Time: 5:30pm til….

Twitter users can follow @ThatFridgeGuy, @WIVMUG and @Toudin (hashtag of #vbeers) for updates.  Leave a comment here or give me (@ThatFridgeGuy) a shout out on Twitter with the #vbeers hashtag to let us know if you are going to join us.  Hope to see you there!
